Abrams scripted Superman: Flyby, which went between directors Joseph "McG" Nichols and Brett Ratner. Over the course of 11 years, Warner Bros would develop and then cancel Tim Burton's Superman Lives, which would have starred Nicolas Cage Wolfgang Petersen's Batman vs. Ilya Salkind commissioned a fifth Superman script before Warner Bros acquired the rights entirely in 1993. Lester also returned for Superman III (1983), and the Salkinds further produced the related 1984 spin-off Supergirl before selling the rights to Cannon Films, resulting in the poorly reviewed Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987). The Salkinds fired Donner after Superman 's release and commissioned Richard Lester as the director to finish Superman II. Donner had already shot eighty percent of Superman II with Christopher Reeve before it was decided to finish shooting the first film. After numerous scripts, Richard Donner was hired as their director, filming Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980) simultaneously. In 1974, the film rights to the Superman character were purchased by Ilya Salkind, Alexander Salkind, and Pierre Spengler. I wish I could say the same for DoW III but I haven't played it cos all my friends say it is disappointing. Overall it is like a visual graphic novel. Especially when units get stuck on the huge blade and your giant units try to get rid of the corpse by shaking their weapon. One unit changes dynamics of the battle and this is probably not the pioneer of such an idea, but in terms of execution most memorable. The avatar units or the big units in war makes this game a charm. Storyline is suprisingly good, unexpected twists at every chapter, almost like reading a Warhammer 40k book. I really liked the Chaos marines when they come into play, as they are just plain wicked and absolutely wretched to the core in their mindset and beliefs. Once that expectation is set, you are in for a fun. This has its own charm but expect some crude graphics. I am only giving 80 because of graphics of modern games are so high it may disappoint younger generation of players who are familiar with crisp graphics.
